Learn to Paint with Acrylics in this Seattle Painting Class!
Interested in learning how to paint, but not sure where to start? Acrylics are a great medium to start with. They’re vibrant and beautiful, and lend themselves to painting colorful and expressive images.
Plus, they’re more “forgiving” than watercolors, so it’s easy to make changes and fix “errors.” If you make a mistake or change your mind, you just wait a few minutes for it to dry, then paint over it.
Anyone can learn how to paint with acrylics, with a little help and instruction. This fun one-day Seattle painting class is a fun and easy place to start.
In this Seattle painting class, aimed at total beginners, you will learn:
- How to use the brushes
- How to paint simple objects
- How to paint an easy landscape
- How to mix and blend colors (plus some basic color theory that’ll be helpful whenever you’re working in color)
- Everyone is welcome – no previous experience is necessary. Even if you don’t know a paint brush from a toothbrush, you’ll have fun and learn a lot.
- Instructor: Nils Osmar
About the materials: You can bring your own paints, brushes and canvas paper to this class, or buy an inexpensive kit in class. The kit includes a set of acrylic paints, a bag of brushes, and some acrylic paper (a special pre-primed paper), in a convenient carrying bag.
You don’t have to make a trip to the art supply store to buy a kit; a representative from Seattle’s “Artist and Craftsman Supply” will bring a bunch of kits to the class. For more information, please visit http://123classes.com/kits
